Different part numbers

No GSXR uses the same screw release as the TLS - in fact the screw used on the TLS is unique to TLS alone (although the SV is certainly similar)

http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/Module/WhereUsed - enter 23200-15500 and you'll find the TLS is only bike it comes up with.

yea i noticed that however the gsxr (600 & 750) actuator who's part no is also different (23200-20C00) is identical to the TLS one, so is the gsxr1000 (23200-35F01) apparently (see steve's post http://www.tlzone.net/forums/tl1000s-tl1000r-forum/33092-help-clutch.html)
so it would appear suzuki change part no's per model. which i can undestand to relate to each relevant fiche.

so i was just wondering if anyone knew for sure if the sv650 one fits as well? it would seem likely cos why would they re machine a part that already exists :O

That is not the case - you will find many parts that ARE common across different models.
If the number is different, it means the part is different - sometimes that difference may be subtle and irrelevant to functionality - like a wheel that is different colour for example. But other while in the same 'family' may have functional spec differences of which you are unaware.
Who knows exactly what the screw difference is - it could be the length of the lever arm, the pitch of the screw, the mounting holes location and pitch .....
