overheating/tune up help

i dont know whats up with my bike, it was over heating, rode it today some and its not now. i added some coolant wasent that low maybe it had air in the system or something. does anyone know how many quarts of oil my tl1000s takes? and is there any performance spark plugs i can buy for it to do my tune up? also will fuel enjector cleaner hurt it in anyway? thanks for any help, and thanks for previous help aswell.

What tempreture are your bike runnung at? Your fan temp come on at Approx 105 C / 221 F and starting to overheat at approx 266 F / 130 C, should be about 2 - 2.4 US qt for coolant. You can use a Iridium plugs that is a good one. You can use fuel injector cleaner just make sure you use the right mixture to fuel ratio, that way you won't damage anything rubber orings.

i odnt have a temp gage on my cluster. just rpm digital speedo, chain light, oil light, ect. so i have no idea what the temp is i know is was over heating cause it was knocking and smoking and its realy hot. the fans are toggled on so i know that was not the issue.

so 2.4 quarts of oil? i dont wanna buy to much =0 found the temp gage doent work
