got this message last month....

Hi Folks

Recently there have been a couple of accidents where people have suffered acid splashes to their forearms, their lab coats did not provide protection because the sleeve had been rolled up exposing the forearm. Can I remind you that to give full protection the sleeves of your lab coat should come down to your wrists, please roll them down and do not risk an more serious injury.

Also on the subject of Lab coats, it has been notice that an increase in the amount of graffiti on Lab coats is rising. Please do not abuse PPE in this manner, not only is it unsightly but it can be quiet embarassing when the only spare lab coat you can offer a german visitor is one with a swastikas drawn on it.
