Will these fit?

Found these......http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/suzuki-gs...pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item3cd79e0e60

Will they fit my TLR? How much work/money to make them work with stock wheels and discs? I'd have to buy matching calipers, wouldn't I??

Thanks in advance

Rich

They can be made to fit but you are looking at modifying the botton yoke (see http://wotid.com/tls/content/view/60/47/) and yes you will need calipers. One of Sam's excellent spacer kits :hail will come in useful too.

I guess it will depend on how the bidding goes on your K8 items. I might be inclined to go with these instead.

This is the same as I used and with the spacer kit it was a straight shoe-in.

There's these that might go with them too.

I got lucky when I did my conversion in that I got the entire K4 front end (brakes, wheel and forks) for quite a good price. Worth the money for sure. Its made a real diffference to the bike.

Don't really want to be modding the bottom yoke tbh :dowhat , I'll keep my eyes peeled for a set of decent k3/k4 forks and calipers, that seems to be the easiest way..... plus I've not got £400+ right now, nearly but not quite lol. Suppose I've got till spring anyhow seeing as the bike is at the coaters.

There are 2 sets of 2K4 front ends for sale over at TLP. Both are across the pond though.
I'll shamelessly throw in that I've got one of the sets on TLP that's for sale.
I mentioned this thinking mostly of you. I put mine up for sale when I got tired of moving them for the umpteenth time. But the lack of interest and the low ball offers has me reconsidering. Heck, they aren't eating any grass, and in another year I might get around to going through the whole set up and making them pristine again. I am just not sure how the TLS will handle with the front end being 12mm lower.

Not sure how much lower a 2005 R1 front end make the bike (to much rum to figure it out) but with the full R1 front end on the S it was phenomenal, until the rod bearings went that is.
I've been on to the planet, 'tiller4me' is selling some and they look mint but I can't post on there yet - waiting for account activation. Anyone got a rough idea of postage from US to UK for a set of forks and front brake calipers??
Don't forget you'll get hit for import duty and VAT at 20% as well.

I threw some random numbers into this and for a $300 pair of forks (didn't put the brakes in) you could end up paying another £75 on top by the time it gets here.

You might also consider something like this.

Maybe forget that last line. They are listed as K6/K7 forks but if you go by the chart those would be different ie K5/K6=ok, K7/K8=not so ok.

There are some possibly interesting R1 forks which might be a better alternative. They certainly seem to be more common than suzook items.

Tls goes great with k4k5 600/750 forks, first ride feels odd but it's effotless to ride

not mint but an idea of costs
also calipers off any of the jap bikes should fit, and are much cheaper than standard calipers, and a tls master cylinder works great with 4 pot radials
