Where To Locate A SatNav On A TLR

818 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  andyonthejob
I`ll be taking point for my share of a tour me and a few mates are doing this summer to the Nurburgring and down the Rhine Valley.

I want to mount the SatNav somewhere near the clocks but i`m struggling for the best way to do it. I`ll have a tank back on so there`ll be nowhere on top of the tank to stick it.

Any pics of mounting ideas ?

Also, has anyone had any experiance with Garmin Zumo`s for plotting your own route on a PC first ?

Thanks Andy

i have a tom tom rider and having the top fairing mount modded at the min, cutting the tomtom lockable mount down and having it welded to the fairing mount then can run the calbes thorough the mount tubes.
its away at the powder coaters at the min but will post pics when i get it back.

That would be good, i`d like to see some pics of that once it comes back pls :)

Nicely made bracket....be ideal for a camera with a clear screen but unfortunately no good for what I need as the tank bag will take up all that area, but thanks for posting the pic up :)
I know this is for an S but look at the pics I have put on for mounting ideas

A mate of mine has a zumo and cant complain

and if you use a program called TYRE to plot routes it works a treat

That's simple and sturdy. I think I need to buy me a SatNav now so I can decide on the mounts.
