I've only had my TL for ~2 months, but I am ready to start modding. I want to polish my wheels this winter. Does anyone have any pics of a yellow/black 02 or 03 with polished or chrome wheels? I am leaning towards just polishing the lips on mine and leaving the centers black. I already looked through the garage but didn't find any. Thanks :)

I have heard that you need to get polished wheels clear coated or clear powder coated. Wouldn't this take care of that?

I gotta agree with what's already been said,If your going to polish your rims you might wanna go ahead and just get chrome wheels,I had the rims polished on my Katana,They were a B$%ch to keep clean:banghead ,I've polished the heal guards and chain guard on my TLS(small parts),But i'm getting chrome rims for my TLS on tuesday:)

Polished wheels are a BITCH to keep clean and shiny. Clear coat will help, but it's still not nearly as good as chrome.

Thanks for the input guys. Trying to decide if I want all chrome or black spokes. I'm still looking for a pic of each on a similar color scheme to mine. I think the all chrome would look great on an '02 but not sure about an '03 b/c there is so much more black. Also leaning toward powder coating because of the price. Found a guy in my car club who got all 4 wheels p/c'd for less than $200 and they look great.

I think you can get chrome powdercoat also. I can't remember the name of the company that does it but you can google "chrome powdercoat".

That's what I was thinking. Gonna check with the guy and see if he can do the chrome and get a quote. Either way, I'm gonna wait til I put it away for a while. Still riding when it's decent. 52º yesterday and got a few miles in:devious

DUDE! I cant wait to see those. when are yall coming to ride?

I have black rims on mine as well and was thinking about getting the lips polished. is it hard to maintain the lips if only they are polished?
