stock 530 stuff. Might try 520 when that wears out....I do love the idea of the stealth rear, plus it looks bling bling :)

DID Gold, X-Ring #520

I've never actually had a #530 because I bought the bike used, but I think my next chain/sprocket change will be to #530, unless I can find a steel #520 rear sprocket.

Even the hard anodized sprockets wear out too quickly. Annoying.

you probably run your chain a lil too tight rockstar.
the tl is VERY VERY sensitive to the chain adjustments
overtight chain (even slightly) will mess up yer sprockets and make the bike handle weirdly
always keep it a lil slack

how much is the weight difference between 530 vs 520 setups?

I know the 530 is one heavy SOB.

Does the 520 hold up? has anyone braken the 520 setup.. Because if the chain fails it usually means that engine block goes too..:rant

It's time for me to get new sprockets, just wandering what is right one.. I probably go with 520 17/43? the bigger the rear and the less work for the chain.. Also it's better to keep the 17 front. It stresses the chain less then 16.?

The weight difference is like 3 pounds I think??? Has anyone ever broken them, yes. BUT, it is almost always due to overtightening of the chain or improper installation of the link. You'll want the riveted one, not the clip one.

Also yes, you are correct that the smaller front sprocket will cause more stress on the chain.

Get this chain like they mentioned above. DID Gold, X-Ring #520

I used it on my 520 setup and after 10k miles, it looks new still.

I run DID ERV2 520 and Afam sprockets.
Before that I had a jazzy blue EK 520 and sprocket specialist.
They hold up well, but I change the chain and sprockets every couple years anyway. We have a short riding season here, so that's not a hell of a lot of miles.
I think a good 520 will last fine on the TL, but if you're worried just stick with the 530. There really isn't any huge performance gain to be had
