That track looks awesome, and a bargain too compared to our trackday costs :confused

Tornado look here http://www.viamichelin.com/viamiche...cid=2242z9858615010cNDYuMjI0Nw__cMC42NDkzMg__ then zoom out to see where it is ....

or here http://www.viamichelin.com/viamiche...trDestCity=le+vigeant&image2.x=28&image2.y=5# for rough directions from calais edit: for some reason, you open into that window then have to press "Search":dowhat

I guess it would be quicker mileage wise to use Portsmouth - Le Havre or better still Portsmouth - Caen :confused

I know it's pretty cheap, eur 84,- per day!!
I'm gonna take along a BBQ and some food, free sleeping at the track. (tent or pitbox)
Just have to keep the bike running and shinny side up. :coocoo

Would be cool if we could get 4-5 guys together and then rent a pitbox!
5x9 m big, running water, 220V eur 345,- for 5 days.

and a big plus for us TL riders there is :megaphone no noise restrictions, :banana cus I love the sound of my TL.

extra's are:

dyno runs for 25,-
tire service
parts service
a DVD will be made of the week
and pics of course to pose when you get back.

Hmm, why not. Something different. Did you hear good things about the track? Car tracks aren't necessarly interesting on a bike. Are you sure there will be good weather in March?
I personally wouldn't book a track day in March in Magny-Cours as example.

What about spain in winter? Bit further away but 99% good weather guaranteed. Barcelona, Valencia, Cartagena, Almeria are all excellent tracks. Last year I booked 6 days for CHF 750, thus about 500 Euro. Not expensive either.

Greetings
Rufer

Btw, Val de Vienne is 700km away for me.

Should be a great week the guys that have been there in the past said it was a great track for bikes. I heard Foret, Charpentier and De Puniet can be found riding there a lot?

There are only 3 groups and the top two are only for people with a race license. (they use the week for training and tuning for the upcoming race season) I'm in the last group. :blush

edit: Rufer You gonna go??

Me and a friend are talking about driving down there..

Renting a pitbox would be sweeeeet and we are definitely in for that..

That would be one TLR and one heavily modded ZXR'92 if we are coming along.

If you decide to go and you feel like renting a pitbox together just let me know.

I spoke to one of the guys that works there and in 2006 it was dry and 18C and in 2005 it was 25C and dry. :banana

That would be one long drive for you guys though :dowhat

The week that I'm going is booked by a Dutch company, so if you really want to go the same week let me know so I can give you the booking information. I don't think they will just let you drop by and race.

edit. drop me a PM and we will meet up.

Quite a drive, but that's okay.. There are usually a lot of danes at Val de Vienne's spring training and I know a lot that has been there the last few years.

The track is supposed to be really nice as well.

Would be a nice pre-start before we hit it off on Tor de Poznan (Poland) in the beginning of May :devious :laugh :devious
