well ive had my TLs for a week now and only done about 300 miles and already right on the edge of the tire but the thing is im hardly leaning the bike over!!!


its got a 180/55 rear on should i go back to the 190/50 section or should i be able to scape the pegs with a 180 ??

all help appreciated

Don't worry.. for instance michelin pilot powers look like true poser tires at first glance as you can ride the chickenstrips of very easy. But they will lend themselves for good angle's of lean!

190 will take more effort to lean in, as far as I know..!

Sorry, I should've read better but a 180 or a 190 isn't making the difference. For what I've experienced you can go way further then you think. If you got same type of front tire I think it's safe to say you can look on that one to see how far you can go..

Do you have a 5.5" rimor the stock 6".
The profile of the 180 is streched when used on the standard rim. You will scrape the pegs/side stand before you run out of tyre.
I prefer the 180 but I have 5.5" rim.
