I had my tl1000r on the dyno today. I need new fuel injectors because the bike runs too rich. Here is the video.

Great work! How much did that turbo cost to build? I wonder what the $ - hp conversion is, particuarly as you said on the planet that the wheel skipped and the technician reckons its closer to 200whp. Sams supercharged TL was around that, with a lot of modifications. I think he sold the supercharger and attachments for about £6,000. ($10,000)

cost of the turbo build

Its a stock tl1000r engine and clutch.
The turbo is a t25 off a Mitsubishi Eclipse Gst with rebuild kit was $150
Emusa 38mm Wastegate $70
You will need stock wrx fuel injectors $60-$100 used
Pc5 pti for a 2002 hayabusa $449
Walbro 255 fuel pump $80
All the piping $150
fuel pressure regulator$150
exhaust wrap$30
turbo blanket $30
Blow off value $30
water and oil lines cost $70
And the cost for tools and other supplies isn't add to that.
in total I paid a little bit over $1500
Still need to take it back to the dyno and that will cost $400
After that i should be done.

Only kidding. Those 6-pots can be made to work but if it were mine I'd probably be thinking about stopping the thing once it gets going. With that kind of power on tap you wouldn't want a sponge on the end of the lever.

Kudos to you for building the thing all the same. Proper "everest" stuff. :thumbup

Thank you snowblind.
I was planning on upgrading the forks and breaks.
On top of that I'm turbo charging another tl1000r right now.

Hows your clutch holding up? I'm surprised you haven't had any slippage yet.

cheers
Erling
I haven't been riding it. Its getting tuned this Sunday for the final time.
But the stock clutch should be able to handle the power.
I guess we will see after the 7th. :) my goal is 205hp.

How is your oil return routed? Did you use a pc5 PTI or did you use a stand alone ecu? How come there is no video on the internet?
What turbo are you using? Where did you put your battery? Im putting my battery in the swingarm.
I got questions for days.

Turboronnie, nice job there mate. Will definitely need more details and pics.

Paint job, lowering and ext swinger not my thing but that looks like you've gone to alot of trouble there.

Hope to see more turbo TL's.

I plan to turbo a TLS once I've finished the required mods on my R... Just front end onversion and tail section to go now.

This is a video of the bike in the dyno on the dyno for the 2nd time.
I was able to ride it home after the dyno run but was still a failure of a day.
