My newly acquired TL-R had 1 bad leaking forkseal.
I've done fork seals before, but quite a while ago now so decided to YouTube it to refresh my memory & came across this...

Don't know if you guys have seen/heard of these before but seem quite common in the US, mainly in the dirt bike scene.

Anyway, googled the pic, printed it off for a template & made some outta some plastic shim at work

I was dubious/sceptical but for 10mins work it was worth a go right?

Dust seal removed released a mini pool of oil hiding. I didn't hold out much hope
But 2mins later :) :) :)
Appears to have boshed it.
Time will tell, but well worth a quick try for anyone with a weepy seal before going for it :O

Yep had a lot of success with them. We use them for our dirt bikes ... it's a must have.

I would mate. I was in same boat until this evening!
I used shim but making it out of a plastic coke bottle should be about the right thickness/strength judging by what worked for me. Good luck :)

this is a good find But it won't work if you have damaged fork legs I.e pitting or scratches.
