G'day

Trying to work out whats wrong with my old TLS. Took it out of storage today, clicked the ECU back in, put in a charged battery, quick visual check, then took her out to try and start.

The bike is difficult to start, needs throttle to get it going.

At first there was nothing. No fuel pump whiring, no response to start button, dash said 'CHEC'. After about 10 secs and a few keyturns it all came back.

After it starts the bike runs smoothly but lacks maybe 70~80% of the power. It feels like its got a VTR250 engine and i'm trying to ride off in 2nd gear!

No self diagnostics errors.
TPS OK.
No TRE, no PCs.
Quick visual inspection shows nice clean engine, no leaks, good condition vacuum tubes, good clean electrical connections.
Throttle bodies more than likely balanced. (Carefully balanced not long before storage. Unable to check without borrowing gauges again. They sound in balance)
Clear intake and filter (would have to be a HUGE wasps nest, but checked it anyway)

Everything was perfect before storage

Can the ECU reset or something if its been flashed with a yoshbox and left to sit?

Bad fuel? Logic tells me the bike would missfire and surge with blocked injectors. The bike was last rego'd last December and there was about 4l of old fuel in the tank, after bike was running for 10 mins toped it up with new premium fuel and put in a strong shot of injector cleaner. after 15 mins on the road no change in running.

Got more things to check but what do you guys reckon? Have any of you had this problem before?

Didn't read the WHOLE thing, but sounds like you're running on just one cylinder... :O spray some water on front and back of headers. Water should instantly evaporate. If not, that cylinder is not firing. Check for spark. Replace spark plugs if needed. Spray a little brake cleaner or starter fluid to see if it helps her run. If yes, you may have some fuel issues: old gas, clogged injectors fuel pressure, etc...
