Guys (and girls) ... having done a thousand or so miles on my (2000) TLR in the last few months since I bought it, and being used to 'big' Harleys (yeh I know, v-twins ... I have a bit of a habit, but different genre!), I'm wondering whether there is a problem - when I open the throttle to (say) overtake, it sometimes coughs and stalls ... a bit unnerving at times. Could it be that I'm just in the wrong gear and trying to pull in too high a gear or some sort of common problem?

It's done 20K miles, seems well cared for ... but is an oldie I guess and might need some fettling ...

Thanks

Claire

you don't say what rev range .

what mods if any have been done to the bike.

does it have aftermarket cans or full exhaust etc.

it may just need new plugs and the injectors cleaned and the throttle bodies balanced and the TPS set but it may be more

where are you located?

Mine used to do that and I found it was my fuel pump causing it, it was making pressure at the rail but not enough flow I also found that in 3rd or 4th on full throttle the bike was a bit flat
