TL1000s ECU.
Hello all. A question for the guru,s out there.
I,m on a 99 TLS but have the ECU from my old 97 TLS which l stored away after the recall here in Australia back in 2005.
Just for fun l,d slipped it back in (after disconnecting battery) to see what the result was. Well let me tell you the power was wild but had a lot of back firing which l never had with the original 97 that this unit was originally fitted to.
ECU numbers slightly different.
What are your thoughts?? These Vtwin bangers are so much fun.
Cheers, Danny.

The 97 TLS has 2-wire gear position sensor. 98+ has 3 wires.
97 have no ignition timing retard.
Perhaps because of this.
What are the ECU numbers?

Thank you for replying tlh. Its interesting to note that this ecu was the original unit in my TLS back in 97/98 that l'd kept after the recall here in Australia during 2005. What does restricted Japanese mean? and what are its properties.
