Hey guys, looking at getting a pair of renthal sprockets and DID chain, what's the best sprocket set up known for the tls??

me thinks 17 front and 40 rear.

Tops out at around 160 if you ever managed to get it there, good acceleration without been too stupid.

I've allways liked. 17/40 have tryed 16/40 17/41/42 but for me 17/40 is what I like best

Cheers guys! Bit more of an idea, I want some rip your arms off torque bit not losing too much top end. Tricky one I know :-/

Whatever you decide try and avoid 16 on the front, that gives the swingarm guide a hard time :thumbup

I ran 17/40 for a long time then went 17/42. From memory, 17/42 makes 6th the same as 5th with std 17/38.

So if you can still ride it with 17/38 ride around in 5th for a feel for how 6th will be.

I fitted an 16 front sprocket (cheap fix, yeah I'm Dutch :)). 20-25k kms ago. Swingarm guide is still ok, but it is point of regular attention.

does 17/40 work with standard chain links on tls ???

No, stock chain is 104 links (17/37 or 17/38)

17/40 worked okay for me with standart links number (104) :O

Wouldn't want to argue with Sam, but I was sure you could go 17/40 on the TLS with the stock chain. :confused
