Hi I'm new to this site and I've searched for a shock conversion and I'm getting all confused, I've been offered a Ducati 1098 shock can anyone tell me if this fits my tlr or what I would need to do to get it to fit, what brackets I need to get made. Can get brackets and things machined at work, if I get this fitting can I lose the whole rotary damper.

The easiest mod would be the showa shock mod. You'll find it in the frequent mods section
but if you go that route you're stuck with that kind of shock.

People who did it liked it though
Do it, I was offered the same shock but went with an 06 R1. They both require a heavier spring and possible you,all need to re valve. The duc and r1 use rocker setups so are softer and travel further then a direct mounted shock. You really have to facter in the leverage ratios

I've got drawing of brackets, courtesy of bigborett I'll send them, rather than hijacking a tlr thread, it's heavy enough, lol
