It's a 2000 tl1000r I love the bike it's really cold in pa right now so I start it every so often just to run but it sounds like it back fired

I'm in Florida and on a cold day here my TL is hard/slow to start. Lithium battery seems to work better and is all I've used for the past 3 years. Even it struggles when cold which leads to fouling of the plugs.
