TL Related Business Name Idea's ?

4640 Views 70 Replies 26 Participants Last post by  snowblind
Getting tired of the treadmill in the construction industry and new personnel life changes are looking like a job move anyway.

So despite always saying I preferred to keep my hobby and job separate I'm considering setting up my own business based mostly around TL's and their variants

Will mainly concentrate on the engine, performance and fabrication side. I have a friend who is also a very good welder and fabricator and may even toy with the idea of trellis frames etc, the list is endless :devious

Also means I can look at making more slipper clutches, big bore kits, cams, aswell as selling spares.

So anyway, I'm at a loss on a business name, would be nice to have it identified with my name and TL's but I've drawn a blank so far :banghead

Any idea's you guys ??

Matthewman - your name is your biggest asset because of your solid rep and achievements

Motor - motors will be your bread and butter but doesn't limit you to TL variants

Works - when you re-engineer things you give them the works, also adds a works/factory racing edge

I'd rather not tie myself to my surname, people recognise Sam more widely and my surname is often spelt wrong or I'm called Mathew Man etc, it's a pita I could do without :laugh

A couple I've thrown about are :-

SamFab (Sam Fabrications)

Northern Monkey Racing (Except I could be living down south which doesn't really work lol)

TL Doctor (which is too corny)

etc

One tip I will give is if you plan on having a website then the name also needs to help with google searches too

If you have a name totally unrelated to what people will google search for then you wont get a top spot in searches although good SEO could help and bring it to the top

Personally I would go for a name that suggests you do all sorts of work and not just TL's that way you won't get overlooked by none TL owners
SamFab definately

All the best on your future venture Sam! Am rubbish at names, that fab work on the first page is awesome, I could look at stuff like that all day, respect to you and your mate, I am sure your rep and quality of work will do most of the advertising you need!
