I had guys almost crying when i said i could get running RGV250's from just under US$400
How many times have i seen posts whining about $600 + TL engines :O
The US exchange rate has been low for a few years now.
How much for this stock with cans 98 TLS ?..It might look familiar.
US$6300..The same bike would have cost US$4100 in 2000
Here are some quotes for TLS parts converted to US dollars.
One BARE front fairing half. US$359
One indicator $77
One fake carbon air intake $52
Two Yoshmura stainless cans..wait for it US$1005

A good TL engine here in NZ would go for around $2500 at the wreckers, about US$1675..... TLS's range from say $6500 (US$4355) to maybe $11000 (US$7370)..... but a brand new SV1000 is $12000 (US$8040)
The RRP on a brand new 1997 TLS was $16000 (US$6550) the exhange rate was 41 us cents = nz$1 back then,67 cents right now......You got a free set of Yoshi or Two brothers cans and a set of tires thrown in.....by 1998 you could bargain into a new TLS for as low as US$5822.
