finally think I have turned the corner and stopped pulling things apart.:banghead

last night I got active with a big ugly file and took all the casting marks off my bottom trilple and then got into it with a few grades of paper. then i got it on the bench buff.

finally papered:

then after the bench buff:

Stripped down the frame and cleaned it up too and painted it with a super coarse silver metalic and a couple of coats of clear.

Now I just need start putting it back together. :devious

There isn't anything left to pull apart on that frame so I guess you'd better start putting it back together.

Keep updates coming. :thumbup

Looking Good Stu :thumbup

Be careful with the Duc Rad to make sure it doesn't sit in front of the cam cover or your front wheel will hit it on full bump/flex and send you over the bars :banghead

The SV1000 makes a nice Rad for a street fighter, alloy end caps etc

Mine was coupled to the TLR Bottom rad for cooling the extra pony's in Traffic, hard to find though :confused

Thanks for the heads up sam, My rad is knackered holds water but is as bent as a back street junkie. I like the idea of having a curved rad so we'll make it work
!!

I started with the curved TLR top rad on mine but it didn't look right, mainly because the rad was shorter and there was a gap under the frame, if you can find a curved rad the same height as the TLS it would fit much better :thumbup

Rather than posting loads of pics here I can PM the various pics for ideas etc

Frame and triples look :drool

Will the radiator shed enough heat to keep the 33% larger TL engine cool? Especially in balmy Australia... :O

Looks sweet so far:thumbup

I expect the rad will have enough cooling capacity - the 749 makes pretty near the same power levels as a TL so it should require roughly the same amount of cooling I would think.

PS, the Disc came, thanks:hail :banana :hail

Axle nut arrived and I took a trip to the bolt shop with a shopping list.

Popped the bolts and screws up in the lathe and tidied them up a bit and shes started the journey to togetherness.

Cap screws before:

And after:

modded bolts inthe triples and forks:
