Until 3000 rpm works only in a cylinder! and overcome these rpm works fine but the briscamente power delivery. I can not find the fault. I replaced coils and new spark plugs ... and the problem persists. Most curious is that it always fails. It is a random problem. Any tips?

Tks

Hi,

Sounds like a fuel delivery issue to me. I'd probably start by running some injector cleaner through it and if possible, replacing the fuel filter. Does it run a bit low on power once it gets over about 5K rpm? By this I mean does it run but feel a bit restricted?

I agree with Snowy.

Sounds a little starved for fuel. The stock fuel filter is joke.

My filter had 17,000 miles ( solo 28k kilos y mira! Que sucio...).

Cambio! Arriba!

Hello friend.

No, it's not the fuel filter. Change the filter and the fuel pump also new units, and the problem continues. I have puzzled ........ Sometimes the fault is from the moment I start'm full afternoons and sometimes without any fault injection seems a problem but not sure ....

mmmmmmmmmm
tank breather vent ok?
if it works well tank ventilation. If it was not so at high RPM or not work directly deform the tank suction pump....

mmmmmmmmmm
I still think its a clogged injector. At low revs only one is operating so if its not feeding properly that would explain why that pot doesn't fire. Next time you fill up throw in a bottle of injector cleaner and see if that helps. I assume its not throwing any fault codes if you put it in dealer mode?
I believe all the injectors are the same on the R so you could try swapping them about to see if the missfire moves to the other cylinder
The injectors were not replaced, but if cleaned in the shop ...... I tend to think it is an electrical fault, but not where to find ...

mmmmmmm

Try swapping the injectors front to rear (just 2 Stu, since he has an S). Then you can see if the miss follows the injector. See if snowy is correct with the injector fuel delivery. Which cylinder is currently missing?

hmmmm

why the hell did I think he had an R :laugh

Snowy is having another senior moment. Its an S so my thinking on why it works on one pot at low revs is a bit off the mark. Probably is mileage in swapping the injectors over, as Stu suggests, to see if the fault moves with them though.

If there's an electrical issue with the injectors it should show up on the diags so dealer mode before you start in with the spanners.

Zacha, help us fill in the blanks please....

What year is your TLS?

How long have you owned it?

Is this a new problem, or has it always run poorly below 3000 rpm?

Does your TLS have a power commander module? A PC2? or a PC3?

Does it have a TRE (Timing Retard Eliminator) installed?

What is the part number on the ECM module?
