Subs cancelled.....?

So many people were posting for sales in the wrong place that I suggested the powers that be drop the need to sub.

and they did.

so the mods are not running around cleaning up.

there are ads now to pay for the forum and jensen is no longer the owner.

its a financial venture for the new owners so I see no loyalty to paying for being here.

In fact but for the knowledge I share I reckon I'd have had my own sub refunded and been banned long ago :lol

Just got my refund message too. Guess I'll change the status from "Gold Subscriber" to "Man who loses pillion seats".

I suspect these are the subscriptions that were setup while Jensen still owned the site. They did not transfer money to the current owner and were doing no one any good. I reckon that's finally being corrected and the old subscriptions are being cancelled. Just my guess...

Feels a little less homey now.....

Off to see what I can buy with my new found wealth.....

Na mine got canned yesterday as well.

Mine was cancelled too

The subscription has NOT been cancelled.

the recurring payment for the subscription that is registered with paypal has been cancelled.

It just means that there will be no automatic renewal of the sub when it falls due.

As I said earlier there is no actual advantage to sub'ing other than advertising reduction now

The market place restrictions were initially put into place to help support the site, software & hosting costs etc. Plus it was also about the members. It stopped people from using the good-will of the site to use it to make profit by simply signing up and buying / selling stuff. Know what I mean? genuine members had no issue subscribing to help keep the site online and got the benefit of the market place. Those simply wanting to profit from this place were forced into helping support it financially.

The members no longer need to support the site, traffic is needed to support the site.

thats gone now and so is jensen

....and all these "new members" with odd names and troll posts.....is that automated or is someone actually posting just to increase the site activity?
