The question has was probably all ready been ask but I can't find it...

I have a 2000 TL1000s and I wan't know if I can install a aftermarket steering damper without the transversal mount and using the OEM mount.

I know you can do it on the TLr but on the TLs??

Thanks.

hmmmm....i have mine fitted along the side of the tank but its a special bracket specific to my top yoke with risers and bars...
any will work as long as the stroke is the same i think....i think you'll find most manufacturers do many different lengths..if you can find out what other bikes have a similair stroke ( 75mm i think? ) then it will be easy enough to pick one up :thumbup
Mine is a Sprint (ignore the sticker on the damper :laugh) damper mounted in front of the tank also, the Sprint damper doesn't use the oem mount.

i've got a csc..can't wait to try it!
I had a matris damper on the TLs, fits on the OEM position.
Not every damper fits because the ignition key is in the way.

The damper is for sale btw.
