I've fiddled with the GSXR some more tonight and discovered that neither of the two steering dampers I have fit the GSXR correctly. :banghead

the Ohlins fits best, but its a little long and I don't quite have full lock right. Whilst I doubt I'd use full right lock on the track, I don't think the scrutineers will share my opinion ... and I sure as hell ain't riding without one. :dowhat

The Ohlins for the GSXR needs to be much shorter by an inch or two at best.

The stock TL damper has the mounting point in the center of the damper, but on the GSXR its closer to the second mounting point (if you know what I mean - got no pics to demonstrate).

Steve's being an all round nice guy at the moment and fixing me up with a temp solution :thumbup

I'm browsing ebay now for a GSXR item, stock or aftermarket.

After taking so long to drink those beers, I think you should surrender that Ohlins to me for the glory of GSXR-bliss :laugh

I'd just come over with a slab of beer, and while you're busy deciding how to ration it to last forever, I'll nick the Ohlins!
