Been working on the GSXR some more to get her ready for the track day this weekend.

This is what she first looked like when I got her:

Replacement parts and a visit to a chassis engineer:

After some tender loving care and animal sacrifices to bring her back from the dead, these are the latest pics of the GSXR now:

Got crash knobs to fit this week and she's ready.

Ruby, from memory i think you said you picked up the wreck on E-bay :O

I have been looking for something similar but never see anything on E-bay:banghead

Do wrecks come up often ? or am i looking in the wrong place - there is no category under bikes for damaged or wrecks :O :rant :rant

Yep. Got it as a wreck on ebay. Actually, I was bloody lucky to get it at about $1700. I have been browsing ebay since, and some bikes turn up rarely every now and again, but nothing like this.

I'm at the track this weekend, if you want me to keep my eyes peeled for a track bike for you? :devious

Looks really nice Ruby! I'd love to have the time/space to do the same. Really nice job, well done! What are the forks on it from? I'm guessing a 750?

02 750 Showa forks with RaceTech gold valves; Vortex clipons, Vortex fair stay. I'm eyeing off a Ohlins rear right now :devious

The front zero is italics, so I lined it up best I could.

BTW I actually totally cocked up the white background. Like a big sheet of white contact. I strategically tooks the pics from angles to hide the cock up :laugh

Bit of a problem ... can't find a steering damper that will fit! :banghead

Got my Ohlins on, but I don't quite have full lock to the right. I know I won't use it on the track, but the scrutineers might not agree with me! :O

The TLR damper is slightly different.

:D
