rev limiter
Bike seems to hit some sort of limiter at 8 to 8.5 k revs per min . . any one any suggestions . .

As above its a t l 1000 s . If you give it full throttle it hits the rev limiter just above 8 k rpm in all gears . Bike has all mods done and just fitted new upgraded fuel pump and filters and tried another set of throttle bodies to no avail . .
so you posted in the SV forum not the help forum
its most likely the tacho is wrong.
try another tacho or attach a tacho from an ignition analyser to confirm the accuracy of the tacho.
