Re-painting can sleeves

How difficult is it to reassemble the can sleeves if I drill out the rivets on my cans to repaint them..... do the internals all fall out in a pile of dust on the floor or am I thinking too much into it and should just do it?

The finish on my ART cans is a touch tatty and I'd like to take the 'ends' of so it's easier to repaint with some sort of tough heat resistant enamel or maybe powdwercoat.....

The Ring-In
They will come apart

depending on the maker into some or many pieces

but they are easily reassembled

use stainless rivets and a little epoxy on the joins as you go
