I'm in need of some help. My TLR was working fine until i changed the oil and replaced the oil seal around the gearbox selector. Now when i start i can't get the neutral light to come on and the bike won't start until i put the stand up and pull the clutch in. I went to the bike shop and was sold honda 4 10-30w oil and was told it would be fine to use as it works with all honda's???? Could the wrong oil cause this? Now i'm forced to ride a Harley to the motogp this weekend and that just seems wrong! Please help.

Are you sure you installed everything properly after replacing the seal? I don't believe in coincidences, so I would check there first. If you don't have the mainly it's running around here somewhere..In the file vault I believe.

Itd the gear position sensor.

its either faulty or the plug has come adrift.

or its got an ATRE fitted that has died.

follow the wires from over the clutch cover till you get to a 3 pin plug.

check its connected

if its got something plugged into it like a small box or canister

remove it and plug the wires back together

try it then.

:stupid Also, the oil is fine and not at all your problem. Maybe you knocked something loose when you changed the seal.
