for some reason my bike wont rev past 8k rpm any ideas?

What symptoms led up to this limitation?
Have you noticed anything esle odd?
Did this problem just start all of the sudden?
Is the throttle response normal in the lower revs?
What did you change or work on during the last service?

throttle response is fine and i just got the bike and its been like this

i replaced the fuel pump just didnt do filters what kind of injectors should i buy
The filter is an important part of the system. If the pump can't get the fuel, it can't do it's job.
After 20 years, the filter is likely due for a change.
You don't need to replace the injectors. Just have them professionally cleaned. Any reputable speed shop can do it for you.

what if the injectors are shot
That would be unusual, but you can find used injectors on ebay, or new ones from parts houses, or even third-party items from the aftermarket.

ok ill try the filter and clean the injectors
