Could anyone help me with the question if the brake pistons in the newer, from 03 and later, Hayabusa calipers are made out of aluminium instead of steel? I heard this in the German Bandit forum and i am not shure if this would be good? As i know the aluminium pistons in the Gsxr 1000 and Zx10r brakes are creating problems when they get hot. Here in Germany a suspension guru even makes pistons out of steel for the Gsxr brakes, they should take care of the wandering pressure point. I am on a set of Haya brakes, but maybe the older six potters would be better?

At Ronayers com there it reads the piston set for the before 03 Tokicos is discontinued and when You look at the 03 Haya fiche there is a piston set. The caliper bolts have new code numbers too. It seems that Suzuki changed something in the newer six potters?
