Hi
Due to ill health and old age catching up with me i am gonig to have to sell all my TL000S stuff i have a complete bike i have owned from new with around 17,000 miles on the clock and a 75% built streetfighter to sell plus loads of spares the main question i have is the streetfighter has loads of great parts ie ohlins shock brand new un registered frame with a reg from a doner bike. The engine was re built by Sam and has never been used since the build ohlins replica forks converted TL000r swing arm new bearings throughout the tank side panels etc have been painted in flip paint that cost £700 per litre. do you think i would be better selling this in parts or as a project to finish there are other bits i have like a high level exhaust and a full Yoshimura exhaust system just unsure what to do what do you guys think?

Hi Rushy.
In the UK right now I don't think you will have a problem selling the TL with the 17k on the clock. Expect to get anywhere from £1600-£2200 depending on condition. As for the streetfighter. Has you have said you are suffering from ill health I suggest you sell as a project. It can take ages to sell parts on here or eBay. Put it up as a project and at least you will be rid of it. Unfortunately trick paint and assorted goodies are only that in the sellers eyes so be prepared to take a hit cost wise. Hope this helps. I recently sold a TL and most of the tyre kickers just wanted to come and rub their piss on my seat. Price the bike accordingly and it will sell. Don't believe the dealers with prices of £4000 they've been up for sale for years.

Thanks for the reply part of your answer is what raised my question i have seen streetfighters built on the cheap with cheap parts everything i got for mine is top quality thats why i thought parting it may be the answer my health wont interfere with me parting it or selling parts im in no rush but finishing it and then riding it would be the problem
Hi Rushy. Have a scan through eBay for the most expensive parts you've got. Ohlins shock and anything else that cost a lot. Put them in your watchlist and see if they sell. If they do you have a price that you could get for your parts. If they don't sell then maybe they are to higher price or nobody wants them. It's the best way to see if there are buyers out there and if so what they are prepared to pay.
Can you put up some pictures?

Generally selling quality bits separately is more cost effective. But probably only worth the hassle if you have oem to replace it with.

Sam engine might be a good selling point though. Not many people around the world with his knowledge about TL lumps. If you can show what's been done, like new oil pump and stuff.. that's defo worth mentioning.

I will sort some pictures out i have a full set of pictures Sam took when doing the engine i just need to find the time, the thing is once i start selling it in parts the die is cast and theres no going back it's a difficult decision.
Unless you swap things out and keep it a complete bike minus the trick bits. Complete part I would avoid.. too much hassle!
Our Judd! ;) not heard of that name since I read Kes...anyway bike looks awesome...nice job.
