Hello everyone. I have just started to hit the TL sites, as I am looking to build another streetfighter and need to educate myself on the TLS/R platforms for the new project bike. I understand that this is one of THE places to get my information from.

I have been riding since 2000, have been an MSF/CMSP Instructor since 2001, and have had a couple of (slow) race seasons under my belt with AFM.

I am currently riding an 04 GSXR 1k, and am converting the 01 600 from streetfighter to track-only.... Hence the need for another project bike.

Cheers,

John

This is the place:), all specs available. I think this is THE place for TLR/TLS info. The good thing is that your questions will be answered... or at least talked about...:laugh

Thanks for the welcome! I understand the woes of the dreaded S.E.A.R.C.H. function, LOL! I'll try not to be da dufus when I post!

CMSP - California Motorcycle Safety Program
see: http://www.ca-msp.org/
MSF - Motorcycle Safety Foundation
see: http://www.msf-usa.org/

The MSF curriculum is what most states use to train beginners (in lieu of the DMV riding test - except in CA where it is mandatory for 21 years and younger). The California Highway Patrol administers the program here, and that program was different until a few years ago - now we use the same MSF curriculum as every other participating state.

AFM - American Federation of Motorcyclists
see: www.afmracing.org

I don't plan race anymore cuz I don't have the cash to do it right (until the price of Ninja 250's comes down and they implement a pure spec class - then it's ON!!). So now I run trackdays as much as my regular job (special education teacher) allows.

Up until recently, the 600 looked like this:
