Howdy,

After looking for just the right specimen, I recently acquired a 2003 R in stock condition, with exception of the Yosh bolt-on cans. This is one of my favorite bikes from my favorite era in SuperBike. I also have a bone stock 2003 RC51. I feel these are important bikes and need to be saved, maintained and most of all ridden.

A little background, my son and I competed in sport bike drag racing spanning from 2000 to 2008 on the national circuit in the now defunct Prostar/AMA Prostar league. At our peak we won the 2006 national championship, with 7 number one qualifiers, 3 second place and 3 first place finishes in the SS class on a 2005 GSXR1000. Finally hung up our spurs in 2008 after a brief stint in the Real Street class. Now, I restore and collect bikes from 1996-2003, including a 1998 Buell S1W, 1996 S2T, 2003 Honda RC51 and now my TL-R. I also like to ride my little 1989 Honda CM185.

I am looking forward to participating here and hope to be able to contribute. This looks like the place to be, for sure. I am also on BadWeb (badweatherbikers.com) and the RC51 (rc51forums.com) forums.

Happy to be here, ride safe.

Welcome to the Zone Vince!👍
It's always good to have another member who is familiar with wrenches.

Nice collection you have there! I have always been intrigued by the RC51, but I haven't found one to throw money at yet. (I also need a larger stable.....and more time.)
