Need Vinyl?

641 Views 8 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Felipe
Just recovered my bitch seat and I have a bunch of black vinyl left if anyone in the states wants it just shoot me an address and it's your. I got a deal on it. There is probably enough to do both seats left. It's pretty easy to work with and it's a nice quality material. I'll post some pick.

I did mine and the missus's tls's a couple of years ago in Aston martin carbon fibre effect leather with black sides and grey leather piping,
They came out quite nicely.

They look mint! Love the carbon fibre effect, you do that sort of thing for a living or you just really good with pair of scissors and a staple gun?

That's handy to know, I'm going to get my seats done when I get round to the finishing touches stage of my rebuild.

So now I know who to ask to recover my sofas..... :devious
Gazza, that looks really nice bro, two thumbs up! You've spent some time on the working end of a sewing machine for sure. I wouldn't even attempt that. I was just glad to get rid of holes. I've seen similar styled seats on ebay but nowhere near as nice as what you have going on. I have a gel seat up front so a plain black seat like it was is fine for now but I do like what you did. It looks really classie. I think tan ostrich leather would be bad ass.
Btw Gazza, how does the mrs's like riding a tl? Did she learn to ride on a tl or did she already know how to ride? I'm debating teaching her to ride but I'm not so sure a tl is the best learning tool. I want her to enjoy it. I've tried to teach people to ride and all it's ever got me was a broke ass bike but I hate riding a passanger. I'd rather she have her own bike but what if I buy her a bike and she hates it. She can't even reach the ground on my TLS and I have no plans to lower the ride height. I do have 2 seats, I was thinking I could modify one with a lower profile. She can reach the ground when their is no seat. Lol I just wanted a woman's opinion about riding a tl. That's a lot of bike to learn on. I learned on an rm50, perhaps I should start her off their. Lol
I take that back, I learned to ride a kdx80. An rm50 was my first bike. Awwww, those were the days. :-D
