When you say, "now that I've got it back together....", did you have the engine apart or the cams out?

Does it offer the "FI" indicator or any error codes if you crank it for about five seconds?

Hi,
When I did mine it took quite a while for the bike to fire and it ran ROUGH!
I went through about 5 battery charging cycles until I was able to get it to start at all.
Running for 5-10 minutes with lots of backfiring. I thought i had the cam timing out, stripped it again and checked - nope.
Only thing I could figure was that the injectors were gummed up with old fuel.

Eventually it came right and it is on song now.

Hope this helps
Warren.
