The one with the quick connect fitting is the feed line. The other large one is the return. And the small one is the vent.

welcome! :bigfinger

thanks for the info. ill upload pics asap. you may laugh now but just wait
ok heres a dumb question, why would fuel be coming out of the vent petcock?
my mistake, I have 4 petcocks on my tank: 1 on one side 1 coming from the fuel pump and 2 on the other side of the tank.

one water, one fuel return (the big one one the right side of the tank), one fuel feed (the pump line), and ????

from left to right, unidentified petcock, fuel return, fuel feed, and unidentified. both petcocks on the left side of this image leak fuel, as well the feed line pumps what does the one on the right do, and what are the 2 unidentified?

Post up a picture.

Should only be three. Angled feed line with the disconnect on it that runs to the fuel rail. The return fuel line, then the vent line next to the return. No water/coolant line, gas and water aren't friends. You shouldn't have gas leaking out of the vent line. If you turned it upside down you might have a little spit out. The return line next to it would pour out gas if left not plugged, maybe that's what you called the vent?

I'll be home in a sec and will shoot you a picture since my tank is off right now.
um that one by itself is an addition.... that is not stock unless that is a pre recall tank that I have not seen. Do you have a giant * stamped on the bottom of your tank with an 'OK' sticker?
that one far right is wrong!! its either been added or is an old pre recall tank
That's not a tank. Its a war zone!

this is true

looking at it the fuel pump looks to be sealed up with some sort of mastic??
JHC .... I feel so much better about the condition of my bike now! That's appalling ... has to said though anything that you do to that from here on in has to an improvement. First up though throw a match in the through the filler cap.

That's got to be a pre recall tank but don't get too excited just yet because if that's a bitza bike there may not be an opportunity for the upgrade. But on the bright side ... you may get lucky!
its a California tank.
The four connections are: fuel feed, fuel return, fuel filler drain ,and California vent.

After all, he is from California. :)

OK HERE ARE SOME MORE PICS OF MY POOR BIKE, Its crazy tank and the vin # im still trying to figure them out, now the last time it was running someone else got it started and i wasnt here, it was pretty much put back together anyways the hot lead on the fuel pump went so i took it apart again, and sent the plastics of to paint and the shop doing the rest of the clean up is wanting me to bring it over, but i cannot figure this fuel flow out correctly, and its driving me nutz

The TLS tank is laid out slightly different than the TLR, but the connections function the same. I don't have a California TLS tank in front of me to compare.

The "California" tanks have a closed circuit vent system - different than the other 49 states, and different from the rest of the world AFAIK.

It appears that you have the fuel feed and fuel return lines figured out.

The two outermost lines are the Cali vent and the fuel filler recess drain. It is easy to identify the drain - blow air down through it and note which tube it comes out of.

This is a TLR California tank.... the S should be similar.
Of course the R has both FEED and RETURN lines on the pump plate. The S has only the feed line on the plate.

Since you likely will not use the California vent, cap that tube and install a vented fuel cap.
