Luke, your TLR has been modified to fit a CBR 600 rear shock in place of the OEM TLR SOAS and rotary damper. It was a semi-popular suspension modification a few years back because it was a cheaper option compared to the aftermarket Ohlins and Penske shocks that were available at the time. What this means is that the lowering link you purchased will not work on your suspension as it is, because the OEM TLR link hardware is missing, along with the tabs on the frame where the link attached.

The CBR shock mod required the removal of those tabs and the link, so that the shock absorber could attach directly to the swingarm at the bottom and to the frame at the top. It is a one-way modification. There is no going back unless you can refabricate the frame tabs and properly weld them in place.

As it is, you may be able to rig some other arrangement to lower your TLR, but it will still require fabrication of some sort.

Here are a couple angles of the TLR OEM rear suspension. You can see the difference between this and yours.

Here the rotary damper has been removed, and the SOAS has been replaced with a Bitubo shock. The frame tabs for the link support can be clearly seen.
