WOW...just...WOW!!!!

This is one of the best "Bond" films I've seen yet. I must admit that I was a bit skeptical at first when I saw that they hired an as of yet unkown actor to play a blond haired 007. But this guy, Daniel Craig pulls it off with quite nicely. This Bond is a "badass!!!"

Some of the refreshing things about this film is that there's no "Q", no stupid unrealistic gadgetry(although there were a still a few high tech, but real existing toys), not even the typical "Bond rides off into the sunset w/sexy chick in tow" movie ending. There's not even an archenemy really. And there's no funky sidekick with special killing abilities(i.e. OddJob, Jaws, MayDay, etc...).

Two of the coolest scenes had to be:

1) the chase scene at the beginning of the movie. That guy was amazing jumping over all kinds of stuff and climbing up walls!!

2) The Astin Martin Vanquish flipping over 17 times on a country road in the middle of the night.

Even the torture scene was cool, and it was simple. No sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads. How about Bond completely nekkid tied to a seatless chair and his balls hanging exposed so the bad guy takes a rope with a 5 pound steel ball strapped to it and swinging it around smacking Bond in the nuts with it!!!

Bottom line: James Bond is a badass muther in this film and I hope Daniel Craig sticks around for a while. He truly is the best since Sean Connery.

That movie friggin rocked. And damn, 2 seconds into the movie that first scene jumping around on cranes had my hands sweating. Was pretty intense throughout and never let up. Two thumbs up. :thumbup :thumbup

Daniel Craig has been in numerous movies, such as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider; had the starring role as an unnamed character (you've got to watch it to understand) in Layer Cake (and the chick is hot!) :drool

Wasn't going to see this one but I guess I will. Next on the list is A Scanner Darkly.

Craig was also in 'The Jacket' which was a cool flick.

I've heard from quite a few people now that his movie rocks. I'd like to see it.

I took my kid and a couple of his mates to see it this week. (9yo's)

It was 145 minutes short. They sat in their seats for the distance no probs. I enjoyed it too.

I went and saw it last week. Definately kick ass and I like that we are getting a more realistic bond film. They had just gotten too rediculous. My only gripe was that they started the movie with a rocking chase scene, but when the credits rolled at the end I was left wanting more. The action at the end didn't live up to the buildup we got at the beginning.

Most of the 007 films that I have seen were average. My kids love them, so I took my youngest son last Friday to see it. He loved it, and so did I. I would definately recommend the movie.

Madkaw, that first scene was brilliant.

I'd give it a 8.5/10. The extra .5 was for the DB5. Yummmm

:laugh Not our fault, although we were well past the 1st week.

Are we going to see Happy Feet, Flushed away, Night at the Museum (eye brows raised) or Casino Royale? "Casino Royale" it was unanimous, so then I had to make sure it was ok to take the other kids to a rated M film :rolleyes
