McGoodies behaving like a SPAMMER

3801 Views 13 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  gaztl1000r
mcgoodies appears to be some sort of new member or advertiser

I take exception with having him add likes to my profile for unimportant posts.

its a spam behaviour.

its not cool and its not the way THIS forum operates.

he is posting in every thread he can at the moment

WHAT is GOING on ?

Did you not notice the "Motorcycle Goodies" banner ad? Can't help feeling its a clue somehow. :)
Uh, agree. That avatar is quite "spammy"

And I know I post in any topic I can, but I don't think it's pollution. :laugh
Stu, "this" forum is no longer what it was. Change is happening, like it or not. The new owners aren't here out of a love of anything but the almighty dollar. I'm sure prior to their purchase, they met with Jensen and saw that this has been a strong site for a long time so they made their purchase. Then they move in and slowly mold it into the moneymaker that they are hoping it will become. They have no interest in TL's, not even sure they have an interest in motorcycles (not that it matters), but it is obvious from another forum they own that I am a former member of, they are here to make a buck and that's all. They will slowly change TLZ into a commercial enterprise and away from the friends/family atmosphere it once had. Makes me wonder if they are the driving force behind a lot of the new members/posters.

And about McGoodies, I wasn't on here for a while so I must have missed a thread about who he/she is, but they did comment in my Yoshimura thread and "like" it. I'm assuming more comments/likes = more exposure and possibly more sales. Not commenting good or bad about the guy (or girl), just an observation.

i think its just rude.........

its marketing and I understand that.

I remember when this forum had between 45 and 70 open threads at the end of the day

now it never gets over 20...........

you're right ! its not the forum it once was.

the planet has increased considerably as a consequence tho.

BTW felipe has surfaced there as "duc hunter"

Yes, sad state of affairs over here. Which is why I really don't get on here as much anymore unless I get a pm from someone that isn't on TLP. Most though are slowly migrating over to TLP.

I just asked Duc Hunter in a thread about being banned here. Be interesting to see if he responds, and if so how he does it.
you're a wicked , wicked man :laugh

I 'liked' your opening post (sorry) :)
McGoodies is a relatively new vendor on the site, Stu.

BTW felipe has surfaced there as "duc hunter"

So maybe I'll get to to ban him after all? :lol

look forward to it :rotfl
I notice a rash of new signees who want parts that Mr MCGoodies can supply. Its not particularly subtle behaviour. Does it constitute boiler-house marketing?

p.s - Is it wrong to want to sign up on TLP just to watch the impending fireworks with "duc hunter"?
[snip]

No. Not wrong at all. But be warned: you WILL be migrating. "Resistance is futile."
