Just picked up the bike and got new fairings but not sure how the rear cowl secures down am I missing something?

You are missing the OEM brackets that attach to the bottom of the hump. They allow it to lock in to the subframe and latch.

Looked around everywhere. I'm figuring out that they don't exist to buy? I can't seem to find them.

You are correct.
The brackets cannot be purchased separately. However, new OEM humps (unpainted) are still available for around $80 or $90, complete with the brackets.

I had the same problem and ended up coming across a hump with brackets for sale. Got lucky. What I kept hoping to find, but never did was plans to fab your own. It would be great if any member here knew how to draw the bracket in CAD with dimensions. Brackets are hard to come by these days
