Can anyone advise wether its viable to weld the cracked frame mounts, and of the cost involved? Anybody ever had them repaired, and are they likely to crack again?

Many people have had them welded without a problem. Cost will depend on who you find to do the welding.

You can also fit a Bitubo rear shock as it does not require the trouble-prone mounts.

after youy've got it welded back up.....make sure the damper is shimed priperly.....you dont want any side play in the damper body.....there is a suzuki shim kit....might be worth getting a bitubo as suggested.

That's really not a bad price at all for a shock and from a performance standpoint you'll want to get rid of the stock damper anyway I think:deal

Couldnt agree more about it being a great value shock, its just the kick in the nuts factor is high. All that money, because of a bolt coming loose! :p
