Here is the first of the items that will be provided as group buys for anyone interested. According to Ronayres.com the TL R and S have the same part number

(Item 2 is likely to be the Exhaust Heat Shields for the TLR)

Finally finished with all of the moving house and country dramas and have a green light on producing some of the smaller items first so you can gauge the product before moving on to some larger stuff.

I have bought some things of a couple of TLZone members in Melbourne so I am a real person and this is really going to happen.

So here it is......a humble beginning

A Pair of Carbonfibre Heel Plates as per pics (see here fitted to my bike)

They are the only pattern of CF available and will be finished in gloss.
You can have them in plain CF (not gloss finished for A$100 per pair)

Price is A$105 plus postage and handling
Unpainted plain finish is A$100 per pair
Shipping is $10.00 anywhere in Australia, Overseas TBA but light as a feather so shouldn't break the bank
If you happen to be in Melbourne (Ferntree Gully) pick up is fine

Looking to start off with 10+ sets

But i am Very interested in other carbon bits.. mainly a hugger with a chain guard that really covers the damn chain the FULL length. I'll be watching with close eyes. :thumbup

Raw Finish

Can supply one or both in gloss or raw as required.

Curious though as to why you might want that...any clues??

See other post in this thread for delivery

I know this might be an odd question, maybe. Can I get just a brake side matte or raw finished? I would also need it shipped to the USA. More curious than anything right now.

The bike is a matte black finish to just about everything. What is left of the body is painted matte black. The exhaust, a custom setup, will be black coated. The frame is a black hammertone, was already done and it looks good so I am going with it. Vortex upper and clipons, rear sets, Ohlins steering stablizer, and modified subframe are going through a process so they are matte finished after anodize. Black SS lines, matte CZ wheels... bla bla bla. I am only in need of the brake side as the rear sets I have do not have heal guard provisions on the shifting side, refer to "rearsets for an r" in the for sale threads for pictures.

You can see the weave matches the hugger in the background. The hugger is not one of ours (was on the bike when I got it) but a very good quality unit.
Some of the weave and the finish looks very greyish on the ones on ebay.
Ours are genuine quality CF weave and the right resins

Frame Covers will definitely be there!! But no molds for them at this stage and want to develop a version that will fit better than whats out there at the moment.
Heat Shield (TLR) mold being done at the moment.
Small items first and then when a bit of trust established, the bigger items like huggers (TLS) and bellypans (TLR).

Hey Wooly....not being picky but why no other form or pattern of CF? Most of us have, I believe, the 2X2 Twill Weave Carbon Fiber and from the looks of your pic it doesn't look like that is what you use...is this correct?

I have Hugger...though I just damaged mine due to lowering the bike and it hitting the undertail so that is going to need newly replaced....so make sure you make a nice one....so hugger with built in chain guard, triple cover although I want Ram Air End Caps instead of that fake shit Suzuki put on there, and I want Covers where turn signals mount like everyone else, and the two sets of Frame Covers + Heat Guards, and also Exhuast Covers for my TLR....so I am in the market for all of it but like I said from what I have seen everyone has 2X2 Twill Weave....most typically used CF to be honest and I think you will get a lot more happy customers and more business....I know without it being 2X2 Twill I won't buy any of it to be honest with you....may be very nice stuff but not the type of Twill CF that I already own and want....Anyone else agree?? Not to say that there are not people out there that will take what you have but does everyone agree that the Twill is the norm?

I will probably be the only one, as I do not have any at the moment, who prefers this patern to what is on the market :O

People, keep in mind that no matter what patern you use, if you have a painter top coat it with a candy of the color of you bike it will look real nice. It was an old import trick I picked up from back in the day. A light candy coat will tint the lighter weave that color and the darker weave will become darker.

I have 3 large pieces of CF on my bike (large tank guard, rear hugger with chain guard, replacement Seat Cowl) and my old TLS track bike had a TLR front guard and a full 1 piece tail.
They were all from different manufacturers (and different countries, Japan, Germany and Australia) and they were all made with the same pattern CF as the Heel plates.
The larger more open, less traditional 2x2 twill is more common on the newer sports bikes.
If you want any part that I offer in the 2x2, I am happy to offer it. All it means that it will be laid up specifically for you (and others if they want). I can provide a "standard" and a "2x2" price if you like. The next questions will likely be around whether we can do yellow CF. The answer before anyone asks is yes, but we are not going to. To many options means that we will never offer a product.
One of the outcomes of all of the varieties and options is that it all becomes custom.
No matter which item we discuss, there will always be versions according to a point of view. Have a look at some of my other threads and see the suggestions.
At the moment I am looking to establish the supply of some CF products that are reliable and of a VG quality that people can trust...unlike most of the other CF threads here.
We have seen offers of all sorts of materials and items but very little success.
As this is the first item offered, I am happy to take all advise and lets see if we can actually build up some really great products for the TLR/S community here.

Last point on the 2x2. I will need to have a 50% deposit paid as they will be considered Custom. The shown version will be known as the standard pattern.

Now get some other people to add there names to the list and if you want them in 2x2 put it next to your name. On this occassion we will do a few of them at the same price (but still need a deposit)

Thanks
