Good current source for Ohlins forks?

Ohlins Japan wants $1500 per leg to repair my forks, and a new set will run about $3800 here. It's been ten years since I bought my old forks, so I am out of the loop regarding good shops back in the US. Any go-to online shops I should consider?

heaps of stuff on ebay.com
I've been burnt once too many times on ebay to risk it with forks or else I'd agree.
Anyone dealt with Indysuperbikes? The name seems familiar but it's been a long time...
What's the damage you are trying to fix? If its the coating on the legs then what your local shop is quoting is maybe a little high but not too far above the going rate.

I was quote £500 to have some DLC-coated Suzuki stanchions redone. That involves grinding off the old surface layer and then re-coating. Its the the same for titanium nitride. If I buy new stanchions they are £400 each.

Your location means you are a bit stuck since shipping costs will probably wipe out any saving you might get finding somewhere cheaper overseas.
As fitted to countless Aprilia RSV-R'S

COMMON AS MUCK.:laugh
And the seals last no time.
:O
There's a member on here, Troy, that was trying to sell his Ohlins forks a while back. Look in the for sale section and you might find them there.

True enough. There's loads of old RSV-R forks on ebay. Some of them even look straight. ;)
The rsv r forks have an Ohlins badge, but that is where the similarities end. Don't expect the same level of performance from these compared to r&t forks.
If you have enough faith in ebay, there is still a range of ohlins r&t forks which fits in the s. I fitted yamaha r1 forks. Apart from diameter of the legs, check the height.

I had the forks serviced (bushings, seal, oil, etc) at a local service center for about 250 euro. Maybe you are better of with sending your forks abroad for service.
danny never at traxxion would repair them at the correct price

PM him

speedking is always the man to source stuff for you at the right price. so if you know what you need.....pm him

if you send them out of the country be sure to get a customs declaration for them so they return without tax.
Thank you all for the info! My LBS says the right leg is damaged from the impact and needs a new inner and lower, complete with fork bottom, $1500. The left one might also be torqued. I've sent an email to Troy, and will buy his. Cheers!
