Hello all,

Little back story - Bike has sat for 4-5 years and as a result the pump is no longer priming, i diagnosed the fault as the fuel pump its self. Bought a new kemso pump from ebay, installed and it worked...once! I'm back to square one..I have pulled the pump, hooked directly to the battery and nothing is happening.

So my question is, is there something I have done incorrectly when fitting to fry the pump?

I've ordered a new pump a new filter will also be installed.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

The one time the pump did work, did the engine actually start and run?

I doubt you did anything wrong. Likely, you just got a lemon pump - unfortunately.

I have Kemso pumps in both of my TLs. No problems going on four years now.

Pay attention to the polarity of the connections during the installation, and be sure to use submersible fuel line.👍

Thanks for the reply Six5! yeah started up, absolutely no problems.

Just when i returned to start it again a couple weeks later, i was back to the same position with the relay clicking but no pump. I have had the kemso out and directly onto the battery but its toast.

So hopefully, as you say maybe its just a duff pump..

Thanks again
