Fuel pump assembly boot

Stripped the pump out as I'm replacing the tank. The basked was stuck in with sealant .... So be clean up operation just been done. The boot / assembly cover is not present ... Is this gonna be a problem if I don't replace it?

Hold up a feckin minute .... what boot? I don't think the TLS has a boot. MUPPET! Off to consult the parts drawings.

FMJ,

Pump: No sealant on the gasket, just the ring and gasket combo. My 97 is two piece but most are one piece with the rubber vulcanized to the ring.

Done. Sorted. All finished. Well I haven't put fuel in it yet but it all looks cool.

Now cut open your OEM filter and post it up. 17000 miles and mine looks like that...

Oh yeah ... possibly a sink hole. :O prolly my dodgy photographic skills. :rolleyes
