Fork/Wheel/TC help, please

Hi All,

I am hoping to by Troy's Ohlins forks (in the FS forum), and a replacement Marchesini wheel from Speedking. This is to replace my current, damaged, Ohlins r/t forks, which are in an Attack Racing billet TC. I need to make sure all this goes together, so I asked Troy about his current setup and he said:

I'm using TLS lower, VAN's upper triple, the forks are GSXR 1000 K5/K6 spec, so I'm using SAMs fitting kit (0,5mm sleeve) and BUSA spindle
If I get Troy's forks and put them in my current Attack TC (are all r/t forks the same diameter for upper/lower TC?) which Marchesini wheel and which axle should I use??

Thanks,
P

you have the answer right there!

So I measured my current (damaged) Ohlins forks and they spec the same as TLS/R/old Busa forks. There is a threaded insert with the forks that extends between spindle centers approximately 1.6cm.

From what I understand, Troy's Ohlins forks are the same measurements as newer Busa forks. He mentioned getting an adapter of some sort from Sam and a Busa spindle, or using a washer with my current spindle. Since the current one is also damaged, I will be getting a newer-spec Busa spindle.

Question: if I get a newer-spec Busa-compatible Marchesini to replace my trashed TLS-spec Marchesini, can I forgo spacers/adapters??
Get a kit and don't complicate things. Old Busa and tl use the same wheel

The newer-spec Busa wheel ('08+) should have the correct spacing for the rotors, so the rotor spacers won't be needed if the Ohlins forks locates the caliper mountings the same as the Busa forks.

However, the caliper spacers may still be needed.
Just send me Troy's forks and be done with it. :devious
True,BUT you need different brakediscs with new busa wheel!
