I am looking for a set of forks, my eyes have been drawn to these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-0...007QQitemZ170026841194QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD2V

Kawazaki ZX10 front end, I know that I would need a top yoke, would my original fit do you think?
Also what is the spacer for, are the discs a different diameter or something.
Is it more trouble than it is worth?
Remember I am a mechanical numpty so need something simple.
Thanks

That is an option, but it could be as cheap to get a new set up once I have sold off
six pots
mudguard
Old forks
Clip on etc.

That is very kind of you to offer his services, do you think he would drive up here too?

I'm sure it would only take him about 20 mins to get to you on the 12.
That's if he doesn't stop off at every roundabout to scrub in his new tyres

Stripping is really simple once you have seen it done once or twice (forks that is).
Dont you need special tools for the USDs and to put the bushes in.

In the haynes book it tells you how to make up something similar to get you by but the tool to do the job is on the need to get list.

It is true I do know 2 people, 1 I haven't spoken to properly in nearly 18 months and I hate people who contact me just when they want something, the 2nd I don't know too well but seems a good bloke.
I have just read OldTLS Dougs how to and it seemed to go over my head.
As I see it I now have 2 options
1 There is a gixxer front end I'm in negotiation about
2 I may do the stripping and rebuilding but I will have to ask lots of questions, I would prefer the 2nd from a financial aspect as I told my wife that me falling off would not cost anything as I had all the parts anyway. I'm looking at £250-£300 to have exactly what I had before I bailed out before Redgate.

Owning a TL sucks sometimes :banghead
