Hi all. I have a 2000 TLR which seems to have the usual mods. It bogs down under very light throttle up to 3000rpm but runs sweet above that. However dealer mode does not work as nothing at all shows on dash. I have used the correct plug under pillion seat and used a short wire to shorr the two connectors but nothing happens when I turn key on. Have tried to crank it and also run it. Nothing. Wiring looks ok although haven't stripped loom all way back to ECU. Any suggestions? Xould it be ECU? I didn't think so because everything else seems to work but could be wrong.

Try this to proof out the circuit in the dealer mode connector.

Use your ohm meter to verify that the black/white wire is connected to chassis ground as it should be.
With the same meter, verify continuity from the white/red wire in the dealer connector back to the ECM connector.

As an alternate test use a third wire to connect the white/red wire directly to chassis ground ( an engine mount or a non anodized section of frame).
