when someone pushed my bike over a while ago, it was obviously effected, since I changed the clutch cable (about a week ago) the little plastic button on the end of it that pushes it in when you pull in the clutch has broken off completely. This morning when I went to start her up, the battery seemed drained and the bike popped to start, then died. Tried to start it again and it wouldn't turn over and the battery was drained by my 4th time pushing the starter button.

Would that lack of a connection (the button not being in the clutch position switch) pull the power from the battery while I've been riding all this week?

I wouldn't think so...but I'm no expert. Usually if that switch isn't working and you don't have a connection it won't start at all.
