This gizmo is a gravity feed fuel container.

It won't work for the TL because you'll need the fuel pump in the tank to pressurize the fuel rail.

If the TL actually had carbs, it would be a different story. But it has throttle bodies with fuel injectors, so save your money for something else. :)

They got the "Carb" bit right, were just wide of the mark on the model. That's nuts:coocoo.

Ahh right haha didnt read it properly as im at work browsing when get chance.

Few bikers at work telling me different stories who actually dont really know about TLRs

Still learning about the bike myself! Whats best way to tune the bike up then? Take it to specialist & rolling road? Or can it be done at home?

This is what you want:
http://www.carbtune.co.uk/

There's cheaper ways of doing it (you can make your own balancers quite easily), but it's a bit of a faff and to be honest as tools go it's not *that* expensive, not for a quality bit of kit. I've had one for about 5 years or so and I've used it on all my bikes and more.

Oh and by the way, it does work on a TL ;)

It does have a power commander 2 on it i think under the seat. Not even sure if it works tbh. So much i dont know about the bike as it was a mess when i got it. 8 previous owners...

Reason i was wanting to tune it up is when i come to a stop at junctions the idle is all over. Sometimes it drops low trying to stall or other times its revving over 2k quite erratic

I would disconnect the power commander and then balance throttle bodies and set TPS, use TLRjunkies excellent post in the frequent mods section, it will walk you thru it and she how she runs from there. If it runs good after that you could get it booked in to get set up on a rolling road and get your PC2 mapped. Does it have a full system/airbox mods etc?

If you set the TPS with the PC disconnected will it change when you plug it back in? I have a PC3 and I'm pretty sure my TPS changed after fitting it. No experience with the PC2 though :O
